SIGHT + SOUND + SOUL
Vol. 1, Friday the 13th Edition
OPEN MIC POET REGISTRATION
Moving Image Arts | Friday, November 13, 2026 | @ Pacific Opera Project HQ, Highland Park, Los Angeles
CALLING ALL POETS!
Join us for an experimental evening where poetry, live music, and visual art collide! We’re inviting poets to apply for a limited number of open mic spots alongside featured poets Alejandra Roggero, Donato Martinez, and Carlos Ornelas, while DJ Miles French and visual artist Taylor Betancourt create an immersive audiovisual environment around every performance.
In honor of Friday the 13th, we’re embracing the strange, spooky, surreal, and macabre. Please include at least one poem that connects to the theme in your own way: superstitions, curses, nightmares, omens, rituals, folklore, the supernatural, mortality, or anything else that fits your interpretation. One on-theme poem is plenty, or lean in further if you like.
Established performers and emerging voices are all welcome. We’d love to hear from you!
